What’s new on the Stokke YOYO⁵
In one line: the YOYO⁵ keeps the compact, airport-friendly footprint the YOYO is loved for, and adds a genuinely one-handed fold, a comfier seat for older babies, and a smoother ride. Here are the headline changes.
The one-hand, one-motion fold
The YOYO has always folded small — but the Stokke YOYO⁵ is built to fold one-handed, in a single motion, with a redesigned frame and a handlebar that folds down on its own. That folding handlebar lets the stroller pull right up flush to a café table like a chair, or slot into a tight lift, hallway or train aisle. If you’ve ever wrestled a folded buggy with a baby on one hip, this is the upgrade you’ll feel every day.
A smoother, comfier ride
Stokke reworked the seat and suspension for older babies and toddlers who spend real hours in the stroller:
- Deeper 149° recline for proper on-the-go naps.
- Integrated five-position leg rest that grows with your child.
- Wider, more padded seat with a refined head cushion.
- Enhanced independent four-wheel suspension with Hytrel® dampers — noticeably better over cobblestones, gravel and uneven pavements.
Newborn-ready from day one
Previously the newborn nest changed the fold. On the YOYO⁵, the Newborn Pack folds together with the frame, so you keep the compact one-piece fold from birth — no unclipping at the taxi door. There’s added ventilation at the foot end and in the canopy (very welcome in Singapore’s heat), plus a structured cocoon-style bassinet option for lie-flat strolls.
Is the Stokke YOYO⁵ cabin-approved?
Folded, the YOYO⁵ measures roughly 52 × 45 × 22 cm and weighs about 7 kg, and Stokke positions it as cabin-baggage compatible — the same carry-on-the-plane convenience the YOYO is famous for. It is a touch larger and heavier than the YOYO³ (6.2 kg, 52 × 44 × 18 cm), the trade-off for the sturdier ride and comfier seat. Cabin allowances vary, so always check your specific airline’s size and weight limits before you fly.

Stokke launched it on 1 September 2026. For now it is on sale overseas, from Stokke and selected retailers. Singapore stock is still to be confirmed.

What is actually different from the YOYO³?
Mostly the fold. You fold it with one hand, in one go, and the handlebar drops down with it. The seat reclines further and the leg rest has five positions. The wheels have new dampers, so it rides better over uneven pavements. The Newborn Pack folds with the frame instead of coming off first. It weighs about 7 kg, up from 6.2 kg on the YOYO³.
Can we still take it on the plane?
Folded it is about 52 × 45 × 22 cm, and Stokke positions it as cabin-baggage compatible. The YOYO³ folds to 52 × 44 × 18 cm, so this one is 4 cm thicker and a little heavier. Check your airline's limits before you fly.
From what age can we use it?
From birth, with the Newborn Pack or the bassinet. Then the standard seat, right through the toddler years.
