The chair that grows with your child
The Stokke Nomi adjusts for height and depth without tools, so one chair fits a newborn, a toddler and a schoolchild. It carries an adult of up to 110 kg. Designed by Peter Opsvik, who also created the Tripp Trapp.
- 110 kg
- Holds up to, as a seat
- No tools
- Height and depth adjust
- Birth+
- With the sets, sold separately
From newborn to grown-up
Add the Newborn Set from birth to hold your baby reclined. From about six months, once your baby can sit up unaided, the Baby Set brings them to the table. After the baby years, your child sits straight on the seat and footplate, and the chair carries on into adult size. The Newborn Set and Baby Set are sold separately.
Height and depth, set in seconds
Move the seat and footplate up or down with one hand and no tools. The depth aligns on its own as you change the height, so the seat and footrest stay in the right spot for your child. A four-arm foot cross with anti-tilt wheels keeps it steady, and it is light enough to move around the home. The Nomi does not recline on its own and does not spin.
Three woods, plus all-black
Pick the wood tier, then the seat colour above. Natural beech and the all-black Black Black are the lower price. Solid Oak and solid Walnut cost a little more. The chair and how it works stay the same. Tap a finish to select it.
Add what you need, when you need it
The bare chair becomes a high chair once you add the Baby Set from about six months, or the Newborn Set from birth. Add the Tray for meals, the Harness for an extra hold and the Cushion for comfort. Every accessory is sold separately, and you can tick the ones you want in the panel above.
- •Centre stem and foot cross with anti-tilt wheels
- •Seat, backrest and footplate
- •Assembly set with Allen keys and a guide
The Newborn Set, Baby Set, Cushion, Harness and Tray are sold separately.
Before you buy
From what age can my baby use the Nomi? +
From birth with the Newborn Set, which holds your baby reclined. For high chair use at the table, add the Baby Set from about 6 months, once your baby can sit up unaided. Both sets are sold separately.
Does the Nomi recline or spin? +
No. The seat and footplate adjust for height and depth, but the chair does not recline on its own and does not rotate on its base. The Newborn Set adds a reclined position from birth, and it is sold separately.
What is the difference between the Natural, Oak and Walnut finishes? +
The chair, its size and how it works are the same. Natural uses a beech and oak veneer stem. Oak and Walnut use solid wood and cost more. There is also an all-black Black Black version. You then pick a White, Black or Grey seat.
Which accessories does the Nomi take? +
The Newborn Set, Baby Set, Cushion, Harness and Tray, all sold separately. The bare chair becomes a high chair once you add the Baby Set from about 6 months, or the Newborn Set from birth.
How much weight does it hold? +
Up to 110 kg as a seat, so an adult can use it. In high chair mode with the Baby Set, it is intended for children who can sit unaided, up to 3 years or 15 kg.
Does it need assembly? +
Yes. The chair arrives flat with a centre stem, foot cross, seat, backrest and footplate. An assembly set with Allen keys and a guide are included, so you need no extra tools.
What warranty does it have? +
The Nomi carries a standard warranty against material and design faults. Stokke also offers a 7-year extended warranty if you register the chair at stokkewarranty.com, and this is not automatic. Little Baby's own warranty and returns terms also apply.
