A place at the table from the first days home
A newborn cannot sit in a high chair, so this set lets them lie back at table height instead. It clicks onto the Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair with no tools. You eat, talk and pull faces at eye level. The seat holds the legs and leaves room to kick.

Green means it is locked on
The set fits any Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair made after May 2003, and needs no tools. Its indicators go from red to green once it is locked on. A pair of extended gliders is in the box. Clip them onto the back of the chair base every time the set is on. On a stable, level floor they let the chair slide back rather than tip, so keep the chair off rugs.

Five points, two positions
The 5-point harness has soft shoulder pads and adjusts as your baby grows. A one-hand trigger changes the seat angle. Use the flatter recline for the first two months and the more upright position from two months on. Always use the harness, and stay with your baby while they are in the seat.
Newborns lie further back with the head and legs supported.

Cover, harness and pads wash at 40°C
The cover, the harness and the shoulder pads all come off and go in the washing machine at 40°C. The plastic shell wipes clean with warm water and mild soap. The fabric is 80% polyester and 20% cotton, and the base is perforated so air can flow through. Keep the set out of strong sun to protect the colour.
Choose your colour
The toy hanger and gliders match the set: white with Grey, black with Anthracite, cream with Vanilla White. Tap a set to select it. Screens show colours a little differently.
Then the same chair carries on for years
Stop using the Newborn Set once your baby can sit up alone or reaches 9 kg, for most babies at around six months. Unclip it and fit Baby Set 2 to the same chair, with the extended gliders still on. After the Baby Set years the chair stands on its own, right through to adult size.

Before you buy
Will it fit my Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair? +
Yes, if the chair was made after May 2003. It does not fit the Stokke Nomi chair. The chair is sold separately and is not included with the set.
Can I use the Newborn Set on its own, off the chair? +
No. It only works clipped onto the Tripp Trapp Chair. Never set it on the floor or a raised surface with your baby in it, and never carry it with your baby inside.
Do I really need to fit the extended gliders? +
Yes, every time the Newborn Set is on the chair. They clip onto the back of the chair base. On a stable, level floor they let the chair slide back instead of tipping. Keep them on later with Baby Set 2 as well.
Can my baby eat in it? +
No. Stokke warns of a choking hazard if a baby is fed any food in it. It is a seat for company at the table, not for meals.
Can my baby nap in it? +
It is not made for sleeping and does not replace a cot. If your baby needs to sleep, move them to a cot. Keep the harness buckled and stay with your baby while they are in the seat.
When do I switch to Baby Set 2? +
As soon as your baby can sit up alone, or reaches 9 kg. Unclip the Newborn Set and fit Baby Set 2 to the same chair. Baby Set 2 is sold separately.
What can go on the toy hanger? +
Soft toys up to 100 g. Never use the hanger to lift or carry the set.
